Meet RCL Class One

Becky Anschutz - Russell Dispatch with City of Russell (Class One Representative)


Born and raised in the Russell area, Becky plans to be a lifelong resident. She is currently employed with Russell County Communications as a 911 Dispatcher. Becky lives northeast of Russell with her husband John. They have 3 wonderful children, Nathan (Army), Cole (Klema Apple Market), and Renya (Sophomore at RHS). In her free time, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors with her family or inside with a good book and her latest crochet project.

Becky's purpose statement is “Control is Fleeting, Character is Forever”.





April Webb - Financial Advisor with Overview Financial


April is a financial advisor who has been in the industry for 12 years. April is currently employed by LPL Financial. Throughout her career, April has worked at Waddell & Reed Inc, Various Insurance Carriers For W & R Insurance Agencies, Randal W Krug, Landon Creek Enterprises and Lpl Financial LLC. April maintains a Series 66 license, which qualifies her as both a securities agent and an investment advisor representative, and is registered to serve investors in Kansas.

April's believes that “Purpose is - Made, simple, and day to day”.





Diana VanBruggen - Water Production Superintendent with City of Russell


Diana is the water production superintendent for the City of Russell and her purpose statement is “be the person you want to see”.




Lacie Austin - President of the Lucas Chamber of Commerce and Owner of Switchgrass Art Cooperative in Lucas KS


Lacie grew up on a farm outside of Eureka, Kansas. After living in cities big and small, she settled with her husband, two children, and dogs in Lucas, Kansas in 2018. In 2019, Lacie co-founded Switchgrass with Jeannie Stramel. They have grown the organization from 4 artists in a rented building to 23 artists in a building the organization owns. Forming a husband and wife team, Lacie and Jeff have restored two downtown Lucas buildings and two homes, one of which they live in. Lacie is dedicated to improving the lives of those around her and is excited to see what the future holds. Lacie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Lacie's mission statement is: “Create big goals & find the path”






Sarah Vonfeldt - Director of Social Services at Russell Regional Hospital


Sarah was raised in Bunker Hill and a graduate of Russell High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Social Work (2018) and Master of Social Work (2021) at Fort Hays State University. Sarah maintains and practices under a KS Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board license. Sarah is thankful to serve RS County as medical social worker and Director of Social Services at Russell Regional Hospital. Her focus in this position is to oversee and provide biopsychosocial case management services to patients in the acute, long term care and clinic settings. Sarah lives in Russell with husband, Michael, and their children Lorrayn (4) and Whit (1). She enjoys making memories with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, cooking and traveling.

Sarah's mission is to "nurture connections, work earnestly and live genuinely".





Kelli (Gudenkauf) Johnson - CPA with Gudenkauf & Malone


Kelli is employed here in Russell as a CPA at Gudenkauf & Malone, Inc. Kelli, her husband and their two boys enjoy spending time with family at Wilson Lake, the Russell Municipal Golf Course, or anywhere outdoors. She believes it is her duty as a young professional to get involved with multiple organizations to share her talents. Through the Russell County Leadership program, she hopes to learn the skills and knowledge that will help her grow as a leader and benefit her in volunteer positions.

Kelli's purpose statement is "Work Diligently. Serve Family. Achieve Excellence. Recognize Self”.





Chandler Reich-Sellens - Executive Director with the Grassroots Art Center


Chandler is a graduate of Russell High School. She attended Fort Hays State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Drawing, a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a certificate in Art History (2022). Chandler is employed at the Grassroots Art Center as the current Executive Director. The Grassroots Art Center aims to educate, preserve, exhibit, and document Grassroots and outsider art environments and folk art within the Midwest. She believes in taking all opportunities available, especially options where she can serve Russell County. In her current position, Chandler hopes to support the growing artist base in Lucas, Russell County, and the Midwest.


Chandler's purpose statement is: "“Spread Kindness, Focus on Self, and Share Skills with others”.
